To access your account you must first receive a “Patron or Alternate ID Number” and PIN, or personal identification number, by visiting your home library. PINs may be changed after the account has been activated.</p>
<p>Materials can be renewed online unless one or more of the following conditions exist:</p>
<ul>
<li>The card has expired or been blocked</li>
<li>The material’s renewal limit has been reached</li>
<li>The material is overdue</li>
<li>The library user has any unpaid fines</li>
<li>The material is on hold</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Library staff cannot offer tax preparation assistance.  Contact information for tax agencies is listed below.</strong></p>
<p>During the tax season, area libraries have tax forms for your convenience.  Throughout the year, the libraries have reproducible tax forms available to copy, and they offer public computers that may be used to download and print tax forms from the appropriate website listed below.  Each library charges a small fee for copies and for computer printouts.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">* Tax returns must be mailed by midnight on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. </span></strong>The traditional tax return filing deadline is April 15 of each year, but  April 15, 2012 is a Sunday and April 16, 2012 falls on Emancipation Day  in the District of Columbia.</p>

<p>Emancipation Day is a holiday in Washington, D.C. to mark the anniversary of the signing of the Compensated Emancipation Act, which President Abraham Lincoln signed on April 16, 1862. The holiday is held annually on April 16.</p>

E-File</a></strong> is a free online program you can use to prepare and file your Federal and Pennsylvania taxes.  Just answer simple questions on each screen.  The program will automatically check to see if you are eligible for an Earned Income Tax Credit and other tax credits.  Then it creates a completed tax return that you can file electronically or print and mail.<br />
